Superintendent John Buckey
- Mary Maxifield selected as new school principal
- Spring (June) intro coffee session will be coordinated by Super. Buckey in collaboration with the PTO
OLD BUSINESS
- Original Works Jess Chamberlin
- Moving online was very successful. Earned $2,634 in profit for PTO fundraising which is almost double from last year
- Earth Day Cleanup Madey Poss
- Coordinated with teachers Willard & Frien last Friday successfully. Discussion about class volunteers to add clean up to an element of recess ongoing. Other grades to participate in the future
- Bike to School Day Abby Lewis
- completed on 5/4 successful with 150+ participants
TEACHER APPRECIATION

- Monday: Coffee and pastries
- Tues: Classroom coordinated cards / flowers
- Wed: Fresh fruit (Apple for a Teacher)
- Thurs: Catered luncheon from Eat Well Kitchen
- Friday: Herb plant to take home
FUN RUN

- Will take place on May 25 during the school day
- Will be run per class during specials block
- Incorporating Pre-K optionally (with parent chaperone)
- Fundraising goal is $20K
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

- Sign up geniuses go out to parents who wish to participate in a volunteer capacity
- Joppa Flats – Kate Whorf will cover Kindergarten May 24 and June 7
- Brazilian Beats – May 20 for Kindergarten

- Set up Spring Meeting with Teacher leads
- Looking for Enrichment coordinator lead (or co-leads) for next school year

- Vote for Funding White T-shirts for Tie Dye Project
- Abby motioned, Kristen seconded for a purchase of $2,700 to provide each student and staff member a white t-shirt to be tie dyed as part of an art activity and worn for the end of year event: Field Day.
- Passed unanimously by: Abby, Karla, Kate Whorf, Molly, Jess, Kristen, Madey, Dr. Buckey, Jen Adams, Lori K, Barb Burke, Kate Marcus, Cara Whelan.
MAGIC HAT THRIFT SHOP

- Brown PTO received $19,288 from the latest allocation, which was more than expected as part of their biggest school donation ever.
- Next week our volunteer week and revised sign up genius will be going out. The more volunteer hours we get, the more we receive in our allocation.
