Our next Harvest of the Month Tasting is Wednesday, November 17!
Harvest of the Month is a great opportunity to help in school and it’s only a one hour time commitment! Parent volunteers gather in the cafe to dish out and serve the tastings to your child’s classroom.
The Harvest of the Month Program encourages healthy food choices by increasing students’ exposure to seasonal foods while also supporting local farmers and building excitement about school meals. This month our students will be tasting popcorn!
In October, students tasted kale. The local ingredients for this tasting were from Riverland Farm in Sunderland, MA (Kale) and Brooksby Farm in Peabody, MA (Apple Cider). Kale was served in a smoothie as “Monster Juice.” Here’s the October recipe if it was a hit with your student!
