Thank you Magic Hat for supporting our students and Coffin and Eveleth schools!
Today, Magic Hat Thrift Shop announced the allocation of $7,000 to the Bell, Coffin, Eveleth PTO. The donation will help enrich our students’ education and it is needed now more than ever during this unprecedented challenging time for our community. The contribution to our school was part of a larger $35,000 allocation to all Marblehead Public Schools.
This brings the grand total of monies donated over the past 15 years to $1,355,000!
While the Magic Hat Thrift Hat funds are usually designated for educational enrichment programs, PTOs may use the funds for any needs identified during this challenging year .
Since re-opening in November 2020, the shop has continued to gain momentum in great part due to the generous donations and support of its loyal customer base and the local community. A third day of shopping (Thursday) was recently added to Wednesdays and Fridays and the Hat is starting to bring back a limited number of school volunteers to help out. While the look and some of the rules have changed somewhat due to COVID, including the types of donations accepted, the mission remains the same — to offer new and old customers alike quality merchandise at bargain prices while supporting the Marblehead Public Schools. If you haven’t been in to the shop yet, come see the treasures that await you at The Magic Hat Thrift Shop!
The shop is open on Mondays 10-2 (donations only) and Wednesday-Friday 10-2 (shopping only) and is located behind the Marblehead Veterans Middle School:
217 Pleasant Street, Marblehead.
