Our first PTO Meeting of the year was marked by celebration and thanks as we welcomed back students, teachers, and parents for both in-person and fully-robust learning programs. The meeting kicked off with gratitude as National Grand Bank announced its contribution of $1500 to the Bell Coffin Eveleth PTO to support our elementary students, teachers, and schools.
Jim Nye, President & Chairman of the Board at National Grand Bank, presented the Bell Coffin Eveleth PTO with the check at the October PTO general meeting. Nye, who himself attended Marblehead Public Schools including Bell and Glover, says, “For more than 30 years, National Grand Bank has been committed to the education of the youth of Marblehead. We are very proud to continue to help support our Marblehead elementary students.”
National Grand Bank works hard to contribute to and connect with the communities that are home to its customer base. In addition to donating annually to our PTO, National Grand Bank, has supported student learning and engagement through field trips. National Grand Bank has welcomed Marblehead Second Graders to its branches in person—and virtually during remote learning—to enrich the math and money education curriculum.
“We are grateful for National Grand Bank’s steadfast commitment to our students and schools,” said Karla Strobel, Vice President, Bell Coffin Eveleth PTO. “With National Grand Bank’s generous contribution, our PTO is able to give directly back to the students and teachers at Coffin and Eveleth elementary schools through curriculum enrichment programs, materials, and fun events and activities.”
